2-Hour Awareness Session
Do you want to understand the initial signs of domestic and family violence, and know how to respond appropriately and refer colleagues, friends and family members if necessary? Lifeline offers variations of awareness sessions – aimed at laying the foundations to understanding and responding to domestic and family violence issues.
DV-aware is a two-hour awareness session that raises public awareness around the issue of domestic and family violence. Find out what's covered in the awareness session outline here.
You'll walk away with a basic understanding of these issues, and tools that will guide you to recognise the signs of domestic and family violence, providing you the foundations to assess what you can do as an individual or group to prevent domestic and family violence.
You can sign up for an awareness session in your community via this website. Find out where awareness sessions are going to be held in your state and territory and click on your preferred session to begin the sign-up process.
2-Hour DV-aware sessions are free of charge to all eligible participants.
