What type of gift is right for you?

We recommend that you seek advice from a solicitor who can factor in your personal circumstances and help you reach a decision that best reflects your wishes. It’s also a good idea to discuss your gift with your family so they understand why it is important to you.

A residuary gift

A gift of what remains of your estate after you have made provisions for your loved ones, and your taxes and debts have been paid.

A percentage gift

Allows you to decide what proportion of your total estate you want to give to Lifeline.

A pecuniary gift

A gift of a specific dollar amount.

If you’re ready to leave a gift in your Will

You’ll likely need some legal wording if you’re seeing a solicitor to help you write your Will. We suggest the following wording:

'I give to Lifeline Mid Coast (ABN 25 524 080 705):

the residue of my estate, or

__% of the residue of my estate, or

the sum of $__

for its general purposes free of all duties and taxes payable on or in consequence of my death, and I declare that the receipt of its Director, Company Secretary or any other proper officer shall be sufficient discharge to my executor(s) for this gift.'
