ABOUT LENT TOGETHER
LentTogether is a 40‑day journey of reflection, generosity, and meaningful change. Rooted in the tradition of Lent, this initiative invites individuals, churches, families, and communities to participate in a simple but powerful rhythm:
Give something up. Take something on. Make a difference.
From 17 February to 28 March, participants choose a practice that brings intention to their daily lives — whether that’s stepping back from a habit, embracing a positive discipline, or engaging in quiet moments of prayer or reflection. What is saved, learned, or gained during these 40 days becomes an opportunity to offer hope to others.
At the heart of LentTogether is a commitment to support Lifeline Midcoast's crisis support services. By donating the savings from your 40‑day challenge or raising sponsorship along the way, you help ensure that Lifeline can continue to provide critical support to people experiencing emotional distress and crisis.
LentTogether is built on three guiding values:
1. Mindful Abstinence
Choosing to let go — whether it’s a comfort, a habit, or a distraction — creates space for clarity and renewal.
2. Positive Habits
Taking on daily practices of gratitude, prayer, movement, or kindness enriches both the individual and the community.
3. Compassion in Action
Your 40‑day journey becomes a lifeline for someone else. Each contribution helps ensure that no one has to face their darkest moments alone.
Whether you participate as an individual, as a family, or alongside your church or workplace, LentTogether is an invitation into hope — both for yourself and for others.
Together, we walk.
Together, we reflect.
Together, we give hope.
